Inside the cage
This cold…
January 14th, 2013 under Dark fantasy, Sweet creatures. [ Comments: none ]

english spanish

I’ve been told about this cold. They said that it was like a dog, once it has bitten you, it won’t release you. But they forgot to tell me that my limbs would be heavy, my arms won’t turn and I won’t be able to dance anymore. Maybe they mentioned it and I just didn’t want to believe it. The pirouettes would be for sunny days and music evenings. I would know dust and darkness; then the stiffness. After the time would pass by heavily. Some of us keep the reunion, others, on the other hand, embrace the eternity. I would like to think that one day, a new summer will arrive and a friendly hand will wind me up, again.

Farewell: a forgotten one

Speechless
once more
I’ve cried ink
while you’re sleeping.

May 2005.

PAD Challenge: days 26 – 30
May 12th, 2012 under PAD, Poetry. [ Comments: none ]

Day 26: Write an animal poem

Phoenix

Phoenix, out of hope
out of me, burned all behind
There is a new day.

Day 27: Trouble is

Trouble is a woman name

You dance a tango with him
when the music is my pain within.

Day 28: the prompt

My problem

I was lost out there
until I switch on the light
Everything is clear.

Day 29: the prompt.

“when the music is my pain within”

Feeding the animal for too long
Learning his words by heart
Writing down his hatred
I was out of blood,
everything gone
but the cold.

No quarters given until we both fell down.
We’ve agreed a truce for our souls.

Day 30: the prompt

Last days

They come quickly, straight to hit me on the chest
meanwhile I gather them all like expected
flowers that live just one day
or just one hour
to disappear
shortly after
leaving
empty
only
full
with
their
silent
echo.

PAD Challenge: days 21 – 25
May 5th, 2012 under Imagism poems, PAD, Poetry. [ Comments: none ]

Day 21: The prompt

Analyzing my-self

Inside of me, there was a blaze crystallized
a tiny black spot, tearing off out of my reach
a diminutive voice, a twisted counsellor
One day I took a scalpel and opened me widely.

Now it’s gone, the silence is back.

Day 22: The prompt

Judgement day

You are no judge
You are no jury
but if you ask me
it was you
who threw it all away.

I don’t care anymore.

Day 23: Write a morning poem.

Dawn

Before anything
but the dawn
another chance
to make it right
another path
to work out
knowing that I’m not
alone.

It’s a new day
to make it
our way.

Day 24: Write a love or anti-love poem

A fact

When home is a name
a shelter is a hand
I’m not lost
but a wanderer.

Day 25: write a poem about a sport

Long gone

No deepest feeling
than a long distance runner’s loneliness.
You made me used to it
why did you get so surprise
when I kept on running?

Day 16: the prompt

Mix-tape

Blues in your eyes, fire in your heart
lost little girl just being found out
broken hollow doll at the doctor’s
infinitive scars drawing a map
to get into a brand new shelter
in the middle of an earthquake
you’re safe now.

Day 17: Here the prompt.

Invaders

Came from out of space
Out of blue
Wanted stay and get all
From all of us
Who will bring them down?
In this fight I’m in
Who will throw them out of town?
In this hell I’m in
Came from out of space
We’re out of heroes
I’m fighting them back
Out of blue, back in town.
Out of blue, not other hero but me.

Day 18: Today’s prompt.

Just a strange couple

You, main course, me, fruit
What such couple we are!
Sour, sweet, everyday.

Day 19: here the prompt.

A new world

Tiny, like a shoe box
with a whole brand new world within.
Grey, days outside
with a rainbow to find out
Cold, the rain was chasing us
we hold a blanket to share.

That was our first apartment
six years so far
collecting memories since then
I’m not going to stop.

Day 20: Let’s…

Let’s burn

When the night falls
cold and dark
my body aches and calls
you in the candle
language.
Let my fingers learn
your real name
Let my whispers follow
you all around
Let my eyes enjoy
and celebrate
Let me wait patiently
my turn

then we will find new highways
then we will burn.

PAD Challenge: days 11 – 15

Day 11: Here the prompt

Scissors Season

Changes
this way come
like an earthquarke
everything
will be upside down
inside out.

For that, you must be prepared, my little child
to listen to your voice and follow her anywhere.

Day 12: Something…

Something simple

Not fear of being wrong
all I want is what I have
no waiting for anything
anymore
In your name
I just found my home.

Day 13: you can read the prompt here

Shooting star

Shooting star tattoo
on my skin when I met you.
Enough luck for me. [/es]

Day 14: the prompt

The end of my world

So long on the ground
Used to it, longing the sky
But I have wings now.

A challenge in the middle of the challenge: write a tanka (5,7,5,7,7)

Just a new me

Facing a new start
Getting stronger everyday
Gathering new fears
Never too late for new dream
Never too late for new song

Day 15: the prompt

Our journey

Everytime I come to you
I do it open with no mask
I slash my flesh to let you
see me from the inside.
I need you to know me
there is no other way
we are in this together.

I follow you picking buttons up from the floor
we’d better strap ourselves in and hold
the balloon tight, our trip is about to start.

PAD challenge: days 6 – 10
April 14th, 2012 under PAD, Poetry. [ Comments: none ]

english spanish

Day 6: prompt

Off-spring

Behind other people faces
buried my voice
muted my dreams
living in black and white
I run in slow motion
until the winter came.

Now my hands are blooming
everything is full of new hats.

Day 7: the prompt

In your birthday,
with the promise of another year together,
is me who receive the presents.

Day 8: The prompt

Contradition

Running for so long
The only rejection
Was made by me.

Day 9: the prompt

Seasons

I blamed you
to stripped
all the beauty
from me,
the spring,
the summer,
off from me
leaving me
in a disturbing
fall feeling.

All the leaves left
my calendar empty
to the bone.

Day 10: the prompt

Urban forest

Why am I here yelling at a wall
when I have a path behind me?

It’s time to go deeper.

PAD Challenge days 2 – 5
April 6th, 2012 under haikus, Imagism poems, PAD, Words Challenge. [ Comments: none ]

english spanish

Day 2: the prompt

“Another guest like me”

I didn’t know
there was a down
even deeper
where to fall.
I didn’t know
I could find a place
there to room
all my memories.

Behind a door, wearing silent shoes
You came along, not only to stay
but to open all the windows.

Day 3: a haiku, the prompt

My only regret
Let you play with my time
But not anymore

Day 4: the prompt

Fifty, fifty

sometimes music
sometimes noise
one day bright
one day pitch black
somehow tiny
with big words inside
I feel you close
when I’m far away
Even when puzzled
I know it crystal clear:

Half devil, half angel
100 % addicted to you.

Day 5: the prompt

Sepia

Letting my fingers run on your picture
my mind flies guessing your thoughts
living the feelings you had inside
making the dreams you denied
until I ended up pitying your loss.

Your night came before
you could enjoy any dawn.

The diary of a beast: Fairy
March 24th, 2012 under Dark fantasy, Horror, The diary of a beast. [ Comments: none ]

english spanish

As time went by, the sacrifices were changing as well as the county people. From one solstice to the next one, I didn’t know what they could offer me. One day, they gave me a crystal jar with a fairy inside.

“What do I suppose to do with this?” I asked them with some kind of curiosity.
“During the night she gets her human real size”. One of them came closer and he looked pretty sure of that explanation.

I tore his heart out and ate it right there. I never knew if she changed her size because she never dared to go out of the jar. I change myself as well during the night but it’s nobody business.

Picture of a doll by Virgine Ropars.
